Everything that is made beautiful and fair and lovely is made for the eye of one who sees.
-Runi

We are surrounded with beautiful things in this world. We just need to look deeper and further. This is something that I realized after taking a walk yesterday. I have been living in this province all my life and yes, I have dreamed of reaching the world’s beautiful travel destinations which I often see in my social media timelines. I wanted to experience how it feels to be surrounded with beautiful creations. Thus, I traveled and chased these dreams endlessly.

Yesterday, I got the chance to wake up early and decided to take a walk to find inspiration. I was dazzled with the beauty laid out in front of me. Was I too impassive the past few years to not see the paradise I live in? Was I too busy chasing the wrong things that I have forgotten to appreciate what I have?

Yesterday, I managed to capture few photos to share to all of you guys. Below are the top reasons why you should rethink what Bukidnon looks like.

More of Bukidnon

Now, let us discover Bukidnon beyond the images I have shared earlier. There are a lot of things that Bukidnon can offer and I am very determined to promote my beautiful home.

Bukidnon, located at the heart of Mindanao is the island’s food basket. It produces a huge amount of pineapples, bananas and sugarcane to meet both local and international demands.
Tagged as the Little Baguio (Baguio City is the summer capital of the Philippines because of its remarkable cold weather) of Mindanao, Bukidnon is also home to those who want to escape the sticky weather and heat of the city. Aside from its chilly weather, there are a lot of beautiful destinations that are becoming more enticing to tourists all over the world especially those backpackers who want to experience being with nature.

Read on as I take you to the beautiful Province of Bukidnon!

The word Kaamulan refers to the gathering of the seven ethnic tribal groups of Bukidnon. It is celebrated every February 1st to end of March every year. Kaamulan Festival showcases the rich and colorful culture and tradition of Bukidnon. This festival serves as a thanksgiving ceremony for good harvest and also to ask the blessing of the ancestors for a more fruitful year. One thing that sets this festival apart from the other festivals in the country is it it graced by indigenous and cultural groups who truly represents the province. They start the festivity through general worship, spiriting ceremony and sin atonement rituals.

The authenticity of this ceremony displays the true tradition of Bukidnon which has remained unchanged throughout the years.

I am shipping myself to Bukidnon tomorrow and you'll just have to adopt me.
I know how to cook and bake, I can serenade you using a looper and a guitar, I hate cleaning though especially washing dishes.

I don't know how to speak the dialect so you'll need to translate for me. I just hope you will not sell me off without my knowledge.

You had me at the sea of clouds and strawberry farm!

P.S. (I am allergic to Strawberries you will need to do CPR when I collapse haha)

Can't wait to go home hahaha. Kaamulan is fast approaching and I'll be the number 1 liker for every post, gonna miss it again but I'm excited to know what's new this year :)
