Beach Travelogue: BORACAY 🌴🌞
The Philippines is situated in the Western Pacific Ocean and consists of 7,641 thousand islands (how about that!) and it is divided into three major islands which is Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. So when summertime hits the Philippines, one of the very best things to do is to go to the beach! and one of the top places to go to is in Boracay.
Boracay is a small island located approximately 315 km south of Manila (Capital of the Philippines) and 2km northwest tip of Panay Island and Western Visayas Region. According to Wikipedia, the island is administered by the Philippine Tourism Authority and the provincial government of Aklan. Apart from its white beaches, Boracay is also famous for being one of the world's top destination for relaxation. It is also emerging as the top destination for tranquility and nightlife.
Super hot! (literally LOL)
Before entering Boracay, you must visit the visitor center of Province of Aklan
Crystal clear water!
Puka Beach. White sand beach with lots of puka shells!
We enjoyed riding an ATV starting from the province proper up until the mountaintop.
super fun! Buggy Ride up to Mt. Luho!
Here's the view when you reach the top! You can see the whole island.
random rocks that says I <3 U :)
had some magic cards bonding time before we sleep
There are many hotels ( high end and affordable ones) in Boracay, it depends on your budget but you can definitely plan your trip in such a way that will fit your budget. We just stayed for 2 days and 3 nights it is short I must say but it was just a company trip so I think that's why it is just a short period of stay.
You can do many things in Boracay especially beach kind of sports and stuff. We weren't able to do some scuba diving or even snorkeling and we missed skydiving but we promise ourselves to do it when we come back. We just did ATV ride, beach hopping, food tripping and the rest relaxing the beach side. I love Boracay's fine white sand.
Summertime can be really crowded, especially with tourists so it is better to really plan ahead and book your accommodation and your agenda. I must say, this is one of your to-do lists when you come visit the Philippines and I will share more on my next post.
That's all for now. Time to hit the sack!
See you all in my next post.
