A heavenly Day Trip to BRAČ and HVAR [EN/DE]
Hey guys! As promised, I would like to tell you about my day trip to the Croatian islands of Brač and Hvar! These are the third and fourth largest islands in the Adriatic. From Makarska, where I spent most of my vacation time, you can reach both quickly and that's why there are numerous providers that offer a combination of both islands within one day trip in their program.
Hallo Leute! Wie versprochen, berichte ich euch heute von meinem Tagesausflug auf die kroatischen Inseln Brač und Hvar! Es handelt sich dabei um die dritt- und viertgrößten Inseln der Adria. Von Makarska, wo ich den Großteil meiner Urlaubszeit verbrachte, kann man beide Inseln schnell erreichen und deswegen gibt es dort zahlreiche Anbieter die eine Kombination aus beiden Inseln innerhalb eines Tagesausflugs im Programm haben.
With this ship I left early in the morning towards Hvar. Already on the way it was very impressive to see the beautiful coastal landscape. Lunch which was included in the price was served just before 11 am. A little early, but the freshly grilled fish was really delicious!
Mit diesem Schiff ging es früh morgens los in Richtung Hvar. Schon unterwegs war es sehr beeindruckend, die wunderschöne Küstenlandschaft zu beobachten. Das im Preis inbegriffene Mittagessen gab es schon kurz vor 11 Uhr. Zwar etwas früh, dafür war der frisch gegrillte Fisch wirklich lecker!
Jelsa is the name of the small town on the north side of Hvar, which we headed for after lunch. Unfortunately I had only one hour to explore the town. But Jelsa has no great sights to offer anyway and after a short stroll the highlight of the excursion was already on the agenda.
Jelsa lautet der Name der kleinen Stadt an der Nordseite von Hvar, die wir nach dem Essen ansteuerten. Leider hatte ich nur eine Stunde Zeit um das Städtchen zu erkunden. Ganz große Sehenswürdigkeiten hat Jelsa aber ohnehin nicht zu bieten und nach einem kurzen Stadtbummel stand bereits das Highlight des Ausflugs auf dem Programm.
Already at the entrance to the harbour of Bol, a small seaside town on Brač, I was totally overwhelmed by the colour and clarity of the water. I would never have imagined it so turquoise blue with a clear view to the bottom and numerous fish swimming in it.
Schon bei der Einfahrt in den Hafen von Bol, einem kleinen Badeort auf Brač war ich von der Farbe und Klarheit des Wassers total überwältigt. So türkisblau leuchtend mit klarer Sicht bis zum Grund und zahlreichen Fischen, die sich darin tummelten, hätte ich es mir nicht vorgestellt.
It is hard to believe that there can be an increase of this beauty, but the main attraction of the island was yet to come. With the water taxi I went to the famous golden horn or "Zlatni Rat" as it is called in Croatian. Its unique shape makes this beach a symbol of the Croatian coast and one of the most popular beaches of the Adriatic.
Kaum zu glauben, dass es für diese Schönheit noch eine Steigerung geben kann, aber die Hauptsehenswürdigkeit der Insel stand mir erst bevor. Mit dem Wassertaxi ging es zum berühmten goldenen Horn oder „Zlatni Rat“ wie es auf Kroatisch heißt. Vor Allem die einzigartige Form macht diesen Strand zum Symbol für die kroatische Küste und zu einem der beliebtesten Strände der Adria.
I think It's needless to say much about these pictures. Every second you are allowed to spend here is just a gift and you can hardly get out of amazement...
Ich denke zu den Bildern muss ich wohl gar nicht viel Worte verlieren. Jede Sekunde, die man hier verbringen darf, ist einfach nur ein Geschenk und man kommt aus dem Staunen kaum heraus...
After a wonderful afternoon the excursion boat left for the mainland again and at about 18.30 I arrived in Makarska. Meanwhile I'm back home in Austria already, but on the last day of my trip I visited another dream beach and enjoyed wonderful views while travelling home. Of course I will tell you about it in the next article. See you soon!
Nach einem wunderschönen Nachmittag legte das Ausflugsschiff wieder Richtung Festland ab und um ca. 18.30 kam ich in Makarska an. Mittlerweile bin ich schon wieder zu Hause in Österreich, aber am letzten Tag meiner Reise besuchte ich noch einen weiteren Traumstrand und genoss während der Heimreise herrliche Aussichten. Natürlich werde ich euch davon im nächsten Beitrag berichten. Bis bald!
