There are plenty to see in Lisbon and today I'll be taking you to the magnificent Jerónimos Monastery. For those who have just come across my blog, Lisbon is where Steemfest is going to be held in November this year so I am hoping my travel blogs on Lisbon for the next few days will help you see more of this lovely city and also provide some tips to those who are planning to go to the conference.

在里斯本有很多地方可以參觀而今天我會帶到熱羅尼莫斯修道院。如果你今天剛剛開始讀我的博客，Steemfest 2017 會在11月在里斯本舉行。我希望透過我的旅遊博客你們會看到這個漂亮的城市還有,如果你會去Steemfest 的話，你可以先看看有什麼好玩。

Jerónimos Monastery is listed under the UNESCO World Heritage. Jerónimos Monastery is a symbol of Portugal's power and wealth in the Age of Discovery. The building was used by monks who was there to assist its Portuguese sailors and ships leaving port for their journeys. The construction of the monastery and church started in the 1500s and it was completed in the 16th century. The monastery was built on the former site of a chapel where sailors would pray before going back to sea. The whole monastery has a gothic feel to it which is considered the Manueline style (Portuguese late Gothic). Therefore Church of Santa Maria is also located at the same site.

熱羅尼莫斯修道院已被聯合國教科文組織列為世界文化遺產。 熱羅尼莫斯修道院是代表葡萄牙在歐洲探索时代的權力和財富。這座建築物是以前的修道士用來幫助葡萄牙船員祈禱。整座建築物曼努埃爾式得風格來建造所以聖瑪利亞教堂都是在修道院裡面。

The ornate Manueline south portal by João de Castilho is 32m tall and 12m wide. The carved figures is just magnificant

南門是哲羅姆派修道院的一扇華麗的主要大門是由João de Castilho設計。它有32米高和 12米寬。 你可以看到這裡有很多精細的雕塑.

Just before you go inside, you will be able to see a sign with the map and what you need to be aware of. As we went during summer, singlets and shorts were not allowed inside. If you are visiting during these summer months, be aware of the dress code.

進去之前，門口有指示告訴你裡面的地圖還有什麼是不可以做的. 因為我們參觀的時候是夏天，所以會穿背心和短褲。如果你夏天去的話，記住穿適合的衣服。

The first thing we noticed when we stepped in was the high ceiling the Church of Santa Maria has. It also has a lot of details throughout and a bit dark in some places within the building.

你進去第一樣會看到就是 Church of Santa Maria 的樓頂很高．你還可以看到整座建築物的裝修很仔細但某些地方比較暗．

There were so many people visiting on the day we were there so taking a good photos was a bit of a challenge

我們參觀當天非常多人所以很難照很多好照片

Look at how beautiful the ceiling looks

看看屋頂上非常漂亮
