Traveling the World #158 - Wawel Castle @ Krakow, Poland (I)

Hi Everyone

When you visit Krakow, you need to visit Wawel Castle. We went during the weekday to avoid the crowd as we know many people will be visiting over the weekend. The castle is one of the biggest in Poland with a large in ground area and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

We took an Uber from our accomodation and we were dropped off just outside of the defensive walls below the Sigismund Tower. We knew we were in the right place as we saw a number of tourist taking some photos. The first thing I have noticed at the Gothic styled roof in the towers. We took our two strollers which are highly recommended if you have kids bring them although you may come across some cobblestones just like the slope part going up to the castle.

Here we took a picture of the different buildings within the castle ground. It is a very large complex so be sure to wear your comfy shoes. The buildings are preserved very well as you can tell from the walls.

This is Wawel Cathedral. It is free to go in but you need to pay a separate ticket to go inside the royal tombs and museum. See the prices below. We decided not to go inside as we had the kids. They advised we cannot bring our strollers inside so thinking we have to bring the two in would be a bit challenging as Baby M was pretty young and we don’t think we can keep quiet the whole time in the cathedral so we opt to stay outside and just take a few photos.

去克拉科夫旅遊期間, 我們去參觀瓦維爾城堡. 瓦維爾城堡是在波蘭最大城堡之一. 城堡距離我們住的地方不是很遠但都叫了 Uber 送我們到目的地. 一下車就知道我們到了因為已經看見很多遊客。如果有小朋友就最好帶手推車因為城堡很大所以這樣小朋友不要走太多路. 我們發現這個城堡保保存的非常好，一看城堡的外牆就知道. 我們沒有進去城堡的大教堂因為我們讓我小孩不會有那麼耐性跟我們一起看.
