Hello, all the steemian who is hobbies traveling, this time I want to share information about a beautiful tourism destination, challenging and worth for your visiting. For you who likes adventure must try to track into Gunung Leuser National Park in Aceh Indonesia which is one of the world's lungs.
This national park includes native ecosystems from beaches to high mountains covered by dense rainforest typical of tropical rain, managed by a zoning system utilized for research, science, education, cultivation, tourism and recreation purposes. This forest has an area of 1,942,000 hectares and is a UNESCO world heritage site.
To explore the leuser forest you can use a ranger or guide service that is always available in entry points and will protect you from any threats while tracking. In the forest, you can be found a variety of unique animals that can not be found in other places such as Orang Hutan Sumatra, gibbons, as well as 325 species of birds. And If you are lucky, you can also find the Sumatran Elephant and 130 other wild mammals as well.
In addition to the animals in the forest, there are also have thousands of plants that have their own uniqueness, there are Rafflesia flowers which are the largest flower in the world and challenging terrain. Exploring the extreme, steep, and slippery course will be a challenge for you.
In Gunung Leuser National Park there is also an exotic river such as Alas Rivers. You can enjoy the thrill of rafting sports here.
Finally, to sign in to Leuser national park, there are have two routes of entry. From Ketambe and from Bukit Lawang. Ketambe is also an alternative for entry into the Gunung Leuser National Park. Heading to Ketambe is easier to reach from Medan and Kutacane, a town that closes to Ketambe.
For easiest route, you can start the adventure in this national park through Bukit Lawang, North Sumatra, you can use the bus from Medan, at Pinang Baris Bus Terminal to Bukit Lawang. It takes 86 km by road to the northwest. To return back to Medan, you can take a minibus or a large bus from Bukit Lawang Bus station. However, if you start from Kualanamu airport you will find the driver offering minivans from the airport direct to Bukit Lawang, the cost is more expensive than public transport.
