Central Bangkok and a storm. Mavic Pro

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

With dark rain clouds heading off into the distance and brighter spots immediately overhead I decided to send the drone up to take a few shots.

Although the clouds look broken and over exposed in parts, the sun didn't really shine casting shadows and contrast to the cityscape.

A rare afternoon glimpse of one of Bangkok's busiest tollways traffic free!

Hi thinkit, beautiful pictures. I love the second one. The roads are so clean and nice skyline also.

Thank you... they do look clean from up here but you do not want to get caught in a traffic jam lol!

Oh my goodness! I live here and vote for your realisim.

I think you should change the tag nature to bangkok so people searching can find this. Thailand would be better than Thai. You will most definitely be ranking on google with this post.

Resteemed, upvoted, put in steemit chat and tweeting for five days to my 5500 followers and the steemer twitlist. These are just wonderful! So glad to see them today.

Oh great thank you :)
i used the tag Thai and not Thailand because apparently the Thai community on Steemit use 'thai' just like 'cn' is used for China.... i need more tags haha. I have changed the 'nature tag' to Bangkok- thanks for the tip.

Do you recognise the location?

Interesting thought, when a article covers so many area of tags, perhaps it would be good to rewrite the article to fit the new tags and republish it. Your thoughts.

You can re-purpose your content - I've seen people do that - but not actually duplicating posts.

I guess that is what I am after, since you have good material but not zoned in properly to get full use of the time in writing it. Travel journalist do this all of the time.

Hadn't thought about rewriting for the purpose of other tags- I might give it some thought. I wonder how a rewrite but the same photos would be taken?

not sure, but I know journalist do it all of the time

Maybe give it some time between articles would be good,

It would be like this. Take 10 posts you have already done. Now re-sort your photos from all those posts into categories. So all those that feature trees could be a treetuesday post. Sort them by color and put them in colorchallenge posts. Get all the night shots, the close ups, the people, etc.

Then - in your new posts - you can still tell a similar story and also link back to all the other posts they came from (to read more about this photo go here). It works on your creativity to combine things in different ways like that.

Amazing idea- will start to do that.

Not at all - I am a hermit up by MRT Sutthisan. I know every square inch up here, but only get out into town if I have to. I travel by MRT - so everything is a mystery to me as I come out of it. I did not know anything about the place when I got here and I still don't after 18 months.

In your photos, I notice the vehicles, the lines on the roads, and the amazing light and color you caught. It all looks like Everywhere, Bangkok to me and very true to life. I love how the colorful buildings glow here in the changing light.

When I'm out, I am just gawking at everything, so I don't get too far in the time alloted. I really appreciate these big views. I want to get up in a tall building, but that has not happened yet.

I did not know that about thai vs thailand - no wonder thailand is empty except for tourist posts. Thank you for that tip - now I know where to look. I was wondering where they all were!

You can go up Baiyok- the big tall building near Central World- usually with a BMW ad on the top! and i think the new Maha Nahkon building is open for views.

There must be so many tips and tricks for getting things to work- I have noticed that certain times of the day also affect post too- but this isn't always consistent!
And yes there are endless colours and things to look at- makes photography even better here :)

I got his today from somewhere - the clear blue times are supposed to be the best - factor that in to your life now lol.

I need to get downtown and go up in one of those buildings. I'm on the 7th floor here and my balcony view is fascinating enough. I go gawk when I take those few breaks each day. They are building a building near me and I can watch them all day long. I'm sure I have thousands of photos of the construction by now. For what? I don't know :)

Steemit best times to post clear blue.PNG

That's very useful. i think it is important taking things like this into consideration too. Do you know what time zone that is though?

Sorry so long - fell off the truck :) I will have to search for the time zone - very good point. I can't remember.

Meanwhile - here is a very good @jerrybanfield post about when to post with all kinds of info.
