Wat Phra Boromthat Sawi, a beautiful temple in Chumporn province, in the South of Thailand
Apart from the beautiful sea as you already saw in my previous post, https://steemit.com/travel/@tangmo/had-thung-wua-laen-a-beautiful-and-peaceful-beach-in-chumporn-province-in-the-south-of-thailand, Chumporn has also beautiful temples. And one of them is “Wat Phra Boromthat Sawi”. It’s one of the ancient temples in Thailand.
The most significant chedi (or pagoda) is “Phra Boromthat Sawi”. It contains the relics of our Lord Buddha.
The chedi has an inverted bell shape and is magnificent in golden color. The base of the chedi is in a square shape decorated with statues of giants and elephant heads. There are small pagodas modeled from a large chedi located on all 4 corners of the base.
Another important building in this temple is Phra Suea Muang Shrine. It is a Thai-style building with a gable roof. There is a sculpture of Phra Sua Mueang which was influenced by Chinese art inside the shrine.
It is believed that Phra Suea Muang served as a guardian of the Buddha's relics. Phra Suea Muang Shrine is sacred and is worshiped by local people, especially Thai-Chinese people.
Below is the Museum of Wat Phra Borommathat Sawi. The architecture of the buildings is in Thai style.
The museum provides all historical information about this temple and valuable antiques.
As you can see, Wat Phra Borommathat Sawi is peaceful and it looks relaxing with a lot of trees.
The bright blue sky and the white clouds make your day in the temple more wonderful.

Hi @tangmo , I like to look and read your description of each photo, the temple is as you say, a quiet place, I have never visited one of these temples, but I imagine that inside it is just as nice and a spiritual atmosphere reigns.
