My adventure to Tenerife. Tenerife 的疯狂冒险。

Situated just off the west coast of Africa, there lies a group of beautiful islands often described as paradise on earth. They are called, the "Canary Islands", the biggest one is called Tenerife and is the prime holiday location for many people living in Europe.

在与非洲西海岸相对的热带地区，辽阔的大西洋面上分布着一些美丽的小岛，这些小岛如同人间天堂一样美好，在这些名叫“加纳利群岛”的岛屿中，最大的一个就是Tenerife。这里是北欧四国和英国国民在冬季的首选。

Tenerife has two airports, one in the North and the other in the South. The South airport primarily serves the holiday and beach resorts where the European and American Tourists visit mostly. The North airport is located near the northern capital, Santa Cruz and this is near the port which has boats ferrying between Tenerife and Gran Canaria. English is hardly spoken by anyone outside the tourist hotspots in the South, the locals are however very friendly and enthusiastic.

I lived in a resort close by to the capital, Santa Cruz, where Palm Trees are a plenty and the surrounding islands are covered with bright and distinctive flowers. The lush roads lead into the distance beyond the field of sight. Like a cat, I have an insatiable desire to explore the mystery ahead and lavish on the surprises awaiting me.

Tenerife有南北两个机场，相距比较远，南部以海滩度假村为主，欧美游客很多，基本同英语。北部机场临近Tenerife的首都Santa Cruz, 这里有港口通往大加纳利Gran Canaria的船。除南部旅游区以外的村庄几乎不通英语，但是当地人非常热情。我住进了首都Santa Cruz边上的一个度假村，这里是棕榈树的天地。酒店周围有极具小岛特色的鲜艳花朵。还有绿绿葱葱幽静的小路一直通向远方，我就像好奇的猫猫，充满激情想探索前方未知的神秘惊喜。

The night time lights by the sea are gorgeous, showing how lively the area is. In the morning, waking up and looking out the balcony is like seeing a new world. The hotel I stayed at was all-inclusive, there was food by the hotel swimming pool as well as all kinds of cocktails and alcoholic drinks. Not being a drinker, I guess it's a little wasted on me.

海边的夜晚灯火辉煌，非常热闹。清晨起来的阳台，是一片新世界。这个酒店贴心的在游泳池边上，提供一整天免费的酒水，各式各样的鸡尾酒，不太能喝酒的我就显得有些浪费啦。

My connection with Tenerife was made stronger by the existence of Siam Park. It is the large water park in Europe, and according to TripAdvisor, ranks first in the world for being the most fun. The park's facilities and buildings are designed with Siamese / Asian themes, and most of the rides have some animal theme. It's hard to believe that their most representative ride is themed as a huge Dragon! As an animal lover, I simply love this place. Also，the Dragon has been the emblem of China for 5000 years, as a descendent of the dragon, I'm even more excited to embark on adventures in the park.

我对Tenerife情有独钟的原因，是这个岛的水上乐园Siam Park，它是全欧洲最大的水上乐园，也是TripAdvisor公布的全球最棒水上乐园的第一名，这个乐园拥有十八万五千米，于2008年刚刚建成的全新公园。这里的水上游乐设施都极具东方特色！Siam Park乐园设施几乎都以动物为主题，并且最令人意想不到是它的代表动物居然是一条巨龙！这让爱动物的我非常兴奋。并且龙作为中国的象征，五千年来已深深扎根于中国人的心中，所以作为龙的传人，我当然非常的期待即将到来的冒险。

In my opinion, the Dragon Ride is the most thrilling of all the rides, I had to have a second try. Inside there is a slanted funnel which washes you in varying circular motions until you drop through the funnel hole. As you sit in different positions on the float, you will spin in different directions. This means the ride is different every single time!

The water is very clean at Siam Park, and the park is spacious. It's very popular so there are many visitors, thankfully there are not many queues for the rides. Because taking pictures during rides are prohibited, I borrowed some pictures to illustrate.

其实这条龙也是我认为最刺激的，我玩了2次，從頭到尾都很精彩，中間有個很大的斜漏斗，每次坐在游泳圈上的不同位置，就會用不同角度出入漏斗，感受都不一樣！这里的水质很干净，园区很大来玩的人很多，不过要排隊的設施卻很少。因为玩得时候不能拍照，所以借用了一些图片。
据说这是世界上最大的飘飘河贯穿整个园区，坐在救身圈飘荡在小河里，抬头欣赏着鲨鱼。

This is the park's tallest ride and also happens to be their signature ride. The ultimate water slide, Tower of Power, is 28m tall and is close to vertical at it's steepest park. It is a straight line zooming down and the entire ride is completed in around 6-8 seconds. Feels a bit like a bullet shot from a gun. As you reach the bottom of the ride, you ride through the transparent tube inside a small aquarium. Looking around you will see Sharks swimming everywhere. This is probably the most popular ride at the park. Many people queue to enjoy this extreme ride.

这是整个园区最高的滑梯，也是招牌项目。它是终极滑水道Tower of Power，28米近乎垂直的滑水道，直线下冲，旁边有计时从顶端到出口6-8秒，感觉像发射的子弹，冲下来之后滑到水底的透明管道中欣赏玻璃外的鲨鱼。这个项目大概是园区排队最长的项目，大家都想去尝试一下这样极限的挑战。
