September 23 - Happy Birthday to Poltava!
Yesterday in Poltava celebrated the day of the city, namely its 1118 anniversary. The year of foundation is considered to be 899, although until recently it was considered 1174, when for the first time there was a mention of the city in the "Tale of the Temporary Years". But lengthy archaeological research has proved that the city existed uninterruptedly since the 9th century. Therefore, after such evidence, it was officially decided to consider the year of foundation of the city of Poltava in 899.
Townspeople are waiting for a busy program for the city's day: solemn laying, a parade of Vishyvans, a festival of national cuisine "Poltava Borsch and Poltava Dumplings", a festival of folk art and a festive concert.
And yesterday in all schools of the city there was a thematic exhibition of flower compositions, and our class took an active part in it. This is our work. Flower arrangement with a white gazebo, one of the sights of the city.
Other classes did no less interesting works that show the wealth of our land.
Poltava is a hospitable city, and always meets with bread and salt, and the most famous dish in many countries are Poltava dumplings, they are usually served with chicken pieces.
In our city there is even a unique monument to the dumpling. In this composition he was just pictured.
It remains only to finish the exhibition sweetly. This is the most delicious composition, and I hope that after the event, the children will share it.
