Kathleen Springs Walk (15 Original Photos)
Kathleen Springs Walk was the first walk that my friends and I did on our Uluru Trip in mid January 2018. This walk is 2.6 km return and located in the Watarrka National Park. It is quite easy because it is flat. We reached the end of the Walk, which is a waterhole at the head of Kathleen Gorge, in less than 30 minutes.
Kathleen Springs Walk – Waterhole
Swimming is banned here at the waterhole because the Luritja people thought that the springs were home to the Rainbow Serpent. They did not want to upset the Rainbow Serpent by disrupting the place because they believed that if the Rainbow Serpent left the waterhole would dry up.
