Villa Houses in Baek Wun Dong Garden in Gang Jin, the one of the most representative garden in Korea
Baek Wun Dong Garden could be said a sort of the villa in the mountain.
So there were houses in the center of garden.
As Entering into the villa, there was a stone stood near the wall.
It seemed the stone was moved there intentionally.
There were 2 kinds of houses, one was a tiled roof pavilion style house, and the other was a straw thatched roof one.
The tiled roof house seemed appropriate in summer.
It would be very cool in summer, when wind blowed from the hill behind of the house.
The straw thatched house seemed to be warm especially in winter.
It could preserve the heat well.
It was said that the local scholars and the exiled scholars gathered here and sang poems.

It could definitely conserve heat well because of the conditioning of the roof, I don't know why that stone was left in the middle of the compound but it seemed to me like some kinda symbols you know, and for the scholars, a nice warm place as this is definitely best for singing poems, amazing shots you've taken wow

It is interesting to see two different types of roofs, even that changes completely the whole appearance of the buildings. I love both of them, but the Korean style of roof tiles is really extraordinary and I love the blue touch. The straw thatched house is really look more cozy and warm, agree with you :)
