The Roofs and the Surroundings of the Temple Cheongryongsa in Seoul

in #travel5 years ago

My favorite thing in the Korean traditional architecture is the roof.
The line of the roof seemed to reflect the Korean culture.
The line and the angles are not too sharp like other oriental architectures in China and Japan. It looked humble, but it looked to preserve the warm feelings of Korean folks.

The temple was surrounded by the resident buildings. In my guess, the place where the temple is located was far from the resident area when this temple had been built. But as the city expanded, the temple was surrounded by the resident area.

The pine between the roofs was the traces that this place was far from the village at once.

I photographed the wall of the temple, the roofing tiles and the bricks were piled along the wall.

I also love the fact that is very colorful!

@slowwalker, The temple Cheongryongsa placed very close to the city. So reduced silence and naturalize background. Exactly...my favorite part of the Korean's architecture thing is roof like you. The wall of temple strongly built from stones.

Now, I see the different korean roof and china roof and japan. But I hear the roof very strong, I see the movie fighting in thr roof and they are played there savety. Great roof. Bleessing sir @slowwalker

in my opinion Korean people really appreciate the noble values of ancestors. as in your photo the residents use roofs in traditional designs. There are traditional values that want to be defended. A strong determination to safeguard values related to history and noble values. This is a very high concern in the midst of modern civilization and often leaves the customs and creativity and local geniuses of society.
Thank you @slowwalker

Excellent shots to look into beautiful to see this post

Nice pictures, as you know I love those traditional Korean roof tiles, looking at those pictures it is obvious that the roof tiles are relatively fresh, so may be were replaced recently. it is good that still much is done in traditional style. Lovely pictures :)

it appears the temple buildings are still original and contain historical value, nice architecture sir @slowwalker
