The Pagoda and The Stone Lantern in Muryang-sa Temple , Korea
There are 5 story stone pagoda and the stone lantern in front of Mireuk-jeon which is the main building in Murynag-sa temple.
Those stone structures are believed to be built in Goryeo dynasty. It means those structures have more than 1000 years of history
Even though the pagoda seemed to be made in Goryeo dynasaty, it had some traces of Baekjae pagoda style.
The area where the temple is located in seemed to be the central part of Baekjae dynasty.
So the skills and the crafts seemed to have been survived until they made the stone pagoda.
The appearance of that pagoda in Muryang-sa was similar to that of Jeonglim-sa temple which had been ruined for a long time ago.
Actually the pagoda of Jeonglim-sa temple had been made several hundred years ago, it looked more balanced and excellent to the pagoda of Muryang-sa temple.
The stone lantern is said to be made in Goryeo dynasty like the stone pagoda.
The stone lantern is not like to that of Beopjoo-sa temple which had been built after the unification of Korea by Shilla dynasty.
I already had introduced the stone lantern of Beopjoo-sa temple in previous posting.
But in general, the stone lantern and the pagoda looked suit very well with the main building, Mireuk-jeon.

@slowwalker, It's gorgeous to see five stone pagoda and stone lantern in Muryang-sa Temple. I only see through your photo clicks stone lanterns in first time. Sri Lanka and Korea has different kind of Buddhism structures in temples. Green coloring trees and shades give outstanding looks to those structures of temple. Also oldest history indeed here. Nice to see every structures preserve yet without any destroying. It will more important to show future generation. Thanks for better description and professional photo clicks.

@slowwalker,
The old pagoda looks so wonderful to me! I think it happens due to yellow color of it! It made a wonderful photography with that nature! In my country pagoda has a different style! Most of them looks like a bubble! We call it as "Bubbulakara"! But in your country they got a different style!
Cheers~
