Myeong Bu Jeon and its’ Patterns in Sil Sang Sa Temple

in #travel5 years ago

There was Myeong Bu Jeon hall standing behind the wooden pagoda place.
Myeong Bu Jeon hall was built for the dead

The external feature of this hall was not extraordinary
But there was something attracted me.
What attracted my attention was the pattern marked beneath the window.

It was tai chi (the great absolute) pattern.
The tai chi pattern in Buddhist temple would be not normal, because the tai chi pattern was the symbol of Oriental traditional philosophy meaning the structure of the cosmos.

It seemed not common to see the tai chi pattern in Buddhist temple.
Why they marked that pattern there. It was curious.

There was another pattern under the eaves of the roof.
I couldn’t understand the meaning of that pattern.
In my guess, it was a first time for me to see that pattern.

This hall looks small but pretty beautiful! Nice photography of it!

The the tai chi pattern in Buddhist temple was quite a surprise for me, but my goodness, that's an amazing pattern there, it's a very simplistic design in all fairness but the pattern made it amazing for me really. Amazing photos and shots really

that hall looks very historic 😍

Well really very good and pretty post.Your post is always so good

Nowadays tai chi is well knows everywhere as health promoting exercises. We see often in Scotland some people in park practising it. It is interesting to see the pattern under the window. It is interesting what people thought. But if Myeong Bu Jeon hall was built for dead then the pattern maybe was used to suggest that about connection after death and cosmos. That would be explanation I would have thought :)
