Tour de Pakistan

in #travel5 years ago (edited)

I wasn’t active for a couple of weeks this month, and posted an apology post for that too. While not having access to the internet I was actually having the time of my life seeing what Pakistan had to offer in its beautiful landscape. We travelled by train, car and bus you name it we had to hike and ride on 4x4 long chassis jeeps for rough rugged roads. All the planning was sudden and made because my cousin had his convocation in GIKI a university located in North Pakistan so the family decided to attend his convocation and travel across the beautiful North on our way back. In the end we went up till Khunjerab Pass where there is a Pak-China border and a tourist hub of sorts.

I had so much going on during my summer break, couldn’t keep you guys updated, my uncle asked me if I wanted to come and for a while I felt perplexed and needed a bit of thought. My internship was going on at SIEMENS it had to end at 14 June and they were leaving at 11 June. There was a three day differential and needed some convincing to be done by me towards the bosses at the company. Nonetheless I told them the scenario and to my surprise they let me leave a little early the guys in the company are just awesome but that is a topic for another day. I was really happy and gave my uncle the thumps up who booked another train ticket for me, meanwhile I sold the Ps4 and bought a Canon camera for this trip to have the right equipment for covering the natural beauty Pakistan has to offer.

The trip was all planned out first we would ride the train till Lahore, stay and travel the city for two days, then travel by bus to Islamabad the capital of Pakistan make a day trip to GIKI and attend the convocation, after that the real adventure begins and for that we booked a car with a guide to take us through North Pakistan, I’ll be telling you all about the day by day journey we had. For now our train was set to leave at 9 PM on 11th June and reach Lahore at 1 PM the next day. We stopped at different stations and what better way to test my camera, got a hold of a pretty nice picture at the station it was night time so the background isn’t quite visible.

There was also a tea stall at Bahawalpur station, and when I got the camera out the guy asked for a picture, I happily obliged and this was the result. Don’t even know his name but when I showed him the pic he was really happy we had a short stop there so couldn’t have a chat with him but he looked to be a happy soul selling tea to make a hard earned living.

Beside him was a stall selling dry fruits and (Halwa) a sweet dish that is pretty famous in Pakistan it is particularly known as Sohan Halwa people crave for its taste here.

Have heard the scenery up north is great, look forward to your sharing the trip you have taken.

Tea selling store looks quaint, does the store offer many varieties of tea or a local tea?

Can't wait to tell my experience it was so amazing, the stall served traditional tea only dood patti that we call.

it was so nice to read about your journey
Enjoy Your Life

Thank you, I'll be updating about the amazing places we went

Hi @shaheerbari

I hope you won't mind this post (it's not really related in any way to your current publication).

I've been just wondering if you joined PALnet airdrop (PALnet is a token build on Steem-engine).

If you didn't claim it then perhaps I could ask you for small favour. Would you consider claiming your tokens and selling or delegating it to me for few months? I would obviously pay you some STEEM for those tokens (I can even pay for delegation - I want to invest some time and money into that platform).

How to claim your token?

a) login in http://palnet.io/ (it's build on STEEM blockchain, so you will use same login details)
b) login in steem-engine.com
c) claim your tokens -> to do that you need to open steem-engine.com and go to "wallet". In left-top corner you will have PALnet (blue colour) logo. Click on it and claim your PAL tokens.
d) go to your palnet wallet and either transfer your PAL tokens to crypto.piotr or STAKE it and delegate to me (click STAKE and then "advanced" and simply type in my username).

Amount of received tokens depend mostly on your current level of SP (I'm not sure if delegations are being taken into consideration as well).

So based on my current experience, if you have 200 STEEM POWER then you should be able to receive something around 100-150 PALnet tokens.
I would pay you 10 STEEM for purchasing each 100 of those PAL tokens. So basically you can earn something and help me grow on this particular platform, making both of us happy :) Plus you would sell/delegate those tokens without bringing down their current price (you won't need to dump them on exchange).

You would earn some extra STEEM and I would have higher STAKE in this platform.

I've only 500 STEEM I can spent on that purpose (plus airdrop will not last forwer) so HURRY UP :) :)

Cheers,
Piotr

Hey there @crypto.piotr I can't seem to go through with the transaction, an error occurs I have contacted the team hope it gets resolved before the airdrop finishes.
