My best friend from childhood got married this past weekend in Shreveport, Louisiana. #GeauxingGuidice #SowellMates

Drew and I played travel basketball throughout our entire childhoods and graduated together from high school. Drew and Kara met in college shortly before graduation and throughout their first few years after graduation they did not live in the same city as their jobs were a few hours apart from each other.

Last May, a job opened to be the head basketball coach up about 30 minutes north of where Drew and I grew up. After visiting the campus he fell in love with the school and facilities. A few days later he accepted the job and Drew and Kara headed down south. Within a few months the duo was engaged and they set a wedding date in May 2018. James and I were both groomsmen for the wedding.

This wedding was one of, if not the funnest wedding I have ever been to! Thursday morning, @morganannwood, James, and I left Tallahassee to fly to Shreveport. Our first flight was to Charlotte, NC where we arrived shortly after 11. Off the plane in Charlotte, first stop grabbing a beer.

We stopped in to get some food and a brew before getting our next flight to Shreveport. We barley made our flight as the three of us were the last three on the plane, but we made it.

This was at the rehearsal dinner Friday night and was probably the best photo @morganannwood took all weekend.

While in the Shreveport airport, which is even smaller than our local airport, there was a cafe that we stopped at to grab a bite to eat. A gift shop was attached to the cafe, where we picked up these goofy Bossier City t-shirts and James found a monkey that moaned. We all died laughing when we figured out they moaned and James bought a few more monkeys.

Throughout the entire flight I played the sound of the monkey moaning. After the tenth time @morganannwood started to get frustrated with me.

Safe to say Shreveport got the best of us! James and I didn't make it very far into the flight before we passed out.
