Wow that is an epic tale of your Melbourne adventure. Melbourne sounds like an evil witch in your blog, always conspiring against you by throwing some hiccups here and there, mostly about transportation issue but also little stuff like the ice cream trail and barring toilet for use XD.

I never understand about the hook turn either, I get apprehensive every time I have to use it. It always feels as if I'm stopping at the place where cars are going to run over me.

You two are really quite hopeless with your pokemon craze and your window shopping love, but hey everything worked out fine in the end. And your uncle is pretty funny, none of my uncle would hide himself in the airport if they have to pick me up.
