Apc pearl
The place of our trip is a small village in Mátra, Apc.
On the 21st road, 70 km from Budapest, the Széleskő mine lake is a real pearl.
The Andezit mine, which was operating until the 1960s, was flooded with ground water and rain over time. The lake thus created is very similar to a tarn. So many people are referred to as the Apc tarn.
The crystal clear water lake is surrounded by 10 to 15 meters tall rock walls and has an average water depth of 5 to 10 meters.
The surrounding hiking trails provide great opportunities for nature lovers to enjoy a day of relaxation.
