Where will your 150 peso bring you?

If your looking for a budgeted trip this what you need. A typical backpacker will surely wanna add this in his list.
Lapu-lapu is a huge island,together with this island are Islets with wonderful scenery and crystal clear beaches. It is one of the tourist spot in Cebu. But unfortunately for locals Lapu2x is a bit expensive, we can't afford to enter resorts and enjoy the beach in our very own land.

So how can my 50 pesos fare be enough in this journey? From the airport you ride a multicab going to Punta Engaño, that probably would cost 10 pesos. From the port of Punta Engaño you will have to ride a public pumpboat going to Sta. Rosa Island. It's a 30 minute ride, the ticket cost 20 pesos plus terminal fee. If you will go with your family you can also rent a pumpboat there, price is negotiable. When you arrive the port of Sta. Rosa no need to worry there are tricycle waiting for you. That would be 20 pesos and they will bring you to Olanggo Island.
In Olanggo island you can visit the Birds sanctuary or the fish sanctuary. But for the birds sanctuary its nice to visit the place if its season for the birds to migrate in the Philippines.
From the port to the sanctuary probably would take 10-15 minutes. When you arrive the sanctuary you have to pay 75 pesos if you want to swim and feed the fish. For those who can't swim and just wanna enjoy the Scenery you'll have to pay 50 pesos. Don't worry because the money will go to the improvement of the place. And after a 10 minute walk You are already at San Vicente's Fish sanctuary.

And are you now ready to enjoy the Emerald sea of Olanggo island? If your planning to bring food the tables are for free, if you want to go snorkling but don't have goggles you can rent for 100 pesos, life jacket is free of charge.
