Egypt!!! Part II

During the Nile the Ship goes slowly, so we could enjoy the landscape, it is sooooooo hot !!!!, we went in May and I am sure there are cooler times, but in those days it was always over 40 degrees C, I was born and raised in hot weather I had never had so much heat in my entire life, at noon the temperature was around 48 or 49 degrees and there was like a hot breeze.

Durante el crucero por el Rio Nilo en barco va despacio, para que uno pueda disfrutar el paisaje, hace un calor!!!!, yo fui en mayo y estoy segura de hay epocas mas frescas, pero en esos dias era de 40 grados C para arriba, yo que soy nacida y criada en clima caliente jamassssssssssss habia tenido tanto calor en toda mi vida, al medio dia la temperatura rondaba los 48 o 49 Grados y habia como una brisa caliente.

There were many many super big loudspeakers placed on the top of all mosques, they were ON several times a day with the Coran chants and prayers which resounded making an echo that was lost in the immensity of the desert making the crossing over the Nile almost a religious experience, especially when they were heard during the warm sunsets.

Se escuchaban unos altavoces muy grandes y numerosos que colocan en los alto de las mezquitas varias veces al dia con los cantos y oraciones del Coran, que retumbaban haciendo un eco que se perdia en la inmensidad del desierto y que convertia la travesia por el Nilo casi una experiencia religiosa, especialmente cuando se escuchaban durante las calidas puestas de Sol.

On the deck there was a small pool whose water was strangely cold, where we could cool off, a bar of drinks, tables and many chairs where u can spend the day enjoying the wonderful scenery and often in days and hours that were scheduled the ship docked in the villages where there were important temples to visit.

En la cubierta del barco habia una pequeña piscina cuya agua era extrañamente fria, donde uno se podia refrescar por asi decirlo,un bar de bebidas, mesas y muchas tumbonas donde uno pasaba el dia relajado disfrutando el paisaje y cada cierto tiempo en dias y horarios que estaban programados el barco atracaba en los poblados donde habian templos importantes, yo me baje en los primeros 2 , luego hubo otro donde habian demasiados vendedores, el problema es que son demasiado insistentes, te jalan, te rodean todos a la vez y yo me senti muy abrumada, sobre todo por unas señoras que siempre estan vestidas de negro y todas cubiertas que te montan como una especie de acoso para que les compres o les des dinero que hasta te agarran! eso y los 49 grados! en fin..me regrese al Barco y no me baje mas, sino hasta que llegamos a Assuan.

Something that I will never forget is how the little kids ran and shouted things every time the Ship passed by and the vendors who literally hung up to the The Ship to sell, was something incredible, throwing plastic bags to the deck and even negotiated from below.

Algo que nunca olvidare es como los niños agipcios corrian y gritaban cosas cada vez que el barco pasaba y los vendedores que se colgaban literalmente hablando! al barco para vender a los turistas, era algo increible, lanzaban bolsas plasticas hacia la cubierta y hasta negociaban desde abajo.
