St Ives and its Secret Gardens
I was planning a trip to St Ives (Cornwall) in February, but unfortunately I rolled my ankle playing basketball and had to postpone it. Thinking about it now, I'm glad it happened this way (well ... not that I rolled my ankle :P) and went there last weekend because I find the coast more beautiful in the summer and fortunately we stumbled upon this awesome Secret Gardens.
Designed and maintained by local gardeners on their own properties the gardens are only open (all at once) one weekend every year. There are not that many of them, only 10, just enough to fill in your weekend with a scavenger hunt for lovely sights and scents.
All owners were very welcoming and eager to answer any questions.
Sadly, we only had time for 3 of them. The closing hour was 5 pm as the owners planned their meet up for a drink after a long day of receiving visitors from all over the world.
And I must admit, I've spent too much time trying to capture every little detail that got my attention.
After all this I get the feeling that I was unfair with St Ives because, as you will see, it has much more to offer

My ankle is 95% recovered :D
Not a very high end one: Canon 1080D with a regular 18-55mm lens, but it served its purpose as this is my first camera.
I might change it soon because of that black dot in the top right corner. Care to recommend something?
Really glad that your ankle is getting better and almost recovered. Even if it's not a high end camera still you manage to make some great photos and the black dot in the top right corner that you mention is not showing in all the photos. I am a novice as well when it comes to photography so i really can't recommend you a camera. I notice do that here on Steemit are a lot of very talented photographers and even photo contests so maybe there you can find some advises.
