ROADTRIP / ALKHANAY PART I (following RIKHA star)

Hi! Today I want to show you ny second car-project. But I want start, at this time, from emotions, wich car can gives. And this is not race car, not comfortable, but it can move everywhere. It kind of tank or moonwalker)))

Meet: Toyota Sprinter Carib'87.

I'll tell you details in another post. Now I want to show you place wich this car can visit.

MY STORY:

In the beginning of September I called Shifu (teacher), who lives 1500 km away from me, and offered to meet in a neutral territory, in Alhanya, where I dreamed to visit a long time ago.

Alhanay is a place of Buddhist pilgrimage, number 3 in the list of places that a Buddhist should visit on Earth. By giving in the Alkhanay mountains Imprisoned spirits, the place is full of legends. That cow will disappear, and at the crime scene only a trace like a giant snake. Shortly before our arrival, a person disappeared on the path. He was walking with a girl, she went into the bushes, and returned - he is disappear. No trace, looking for a helicopter - unsuccessfully.

Long time ago, in this place, Buryat Shamans performed rituals, but one day a monk from Tibet came, began to medetate, local residents even built a small house for him. But the Shamans, on the contrary, were unhappy with this neighborhood and began to supplant the monk. He could not confront them and went to Tibet, where he gained strength and knowledge to resist the Shamans. Returning, the monk assembled the spirit-assistants, who served the Shamans and burned them in a large fire. Shamans recognized the strength of the monk and left these places, according to legend, through the portal to the island of Olkhon, which is on Lake Baikal. But that's another story ...

And now, I offer you a report from this trip. Photos in general there were 700 pieces, in every possible way removed, but it seems that the post will not be one ...

Well, let's start with the route. We leave Ulan-Ude early in the morning and move to Chita. There we spend the night with friends and in the morning we drive to Alkhanaya. After that it was planned to return to Ulan-Ude, but the stars took us further.

As planned: early in the morning we leave Ulan-Ude. In general, I like to leave early, because the sunrise in start of the road is something special, like a tradition for me. 

Where the border of Buryatia ends ...

... the bad asphalt ends. Closer to Chita, roads are better. 

There is a group of lakes, the Deer's are called, if I'm not mistaken. We stopped at the smallest of them - Lake Arey. The Carib (Toyota Sprinter Carib) could not drive past the deer lakes, because CARIB from Japanese CARIBU, which translates as the Reindeer.

Aray is a small round lake, with an old thick forest.

On the near shore is a children's camp.

Very quiet and beautiful place, and in this house I would spend a couple of summer months)))
