We've been to Tasmania in january this year, summertime! Visiting Freycinet NP was part of our roadtrip through Tasmania and the Sydney/Melbourne surroundings. I'll tell you more about that in later blog updates.

Freycinet is known for it's beautifull beaches, especially Wineglass Bay. The experts say Wineglassbay is one of the most stunning beaches in the world, top 10 material. This blog wil show you why!

I just have to start with this beautifull panorama, because a 16:9 just can't tell you how stunning it was...

We actually started at the carpark thinking to just go to the look-out. This was a, for us short, walk uphill to a lookout where you can see the Wineglassbay.

Picture taken at the lookout, you can tell why it's called Wineglassbay I suppose. On the right site you can just see a little part of Hazardsbeach

When we had the beautifull view over the stunning bay we just couldn't resist getting to the beach itself. So there we went... It was quite a steep end downhill over rocks and branches, but I can tell you: IT IS WORTH IT! So if you're there, don't hestitate to get over to the Wineglassbay Beach! This pictures might tell you why:

View to the left, where most people hang around...

Front view...

View to the right, where almost nobody goes, that's why we walked trough to this spot..

The pictures above give you an insight of our view when we just laid there for a couple of hours. Perfect spot for a quick cooldown, as you can see the weather was quite hot.

Wineglass Bay / Hazards Beach circuit
As I told you, we just wanted to visit the lookout but went through to the beach. When we wanted to go back, we thought well... it's about 4 km back the same way. Or about 7 going via Hazards Beach, and not having to climb the steep rocky hill. So we decided to take the 11 km circuit route back to the carpark. Afther about 1 km of bushland, you enter Hazards Beach. This part absolutely stunning too! And, even less people here!

This was the view when we walked up Hazards Beach. The amazing blue color of the flat water makes it hard to believe it's real!

This is the part where we had to walk to get on the circuit path again.

At the end of Hazards Beach we came by this little fellow; enjoying life the fullest.

If you're at Tasmania, you do have to visit Freychinet for sure! Here's the map of the circuit we walked. Just an advice, be prepared! We weren't, make sure you bring some food and water with you. We just brought a 1 liter bottle and a pack of chips. So, plan your trip and don't be like us. Here's a map to prepare yourself:

The water is so freaking blue! Pity it's so far away..

Yep, and just for the record; these are raw pictures from my phone. So no filters or anything. From Holland it's like a 30 hour trip, far away... but if you know what you're doing it for, it's doable!:)

Yeaa... from Portugal is not gonna be any faster I'd say ;)
But worth the trip I guess... and if there is more of them plus some good food and drinks...

Lol, no probably not haha. There's actually a lot of hops fields at Tasmania. So many local beer!:)

Hahaha beer is good :D
Did you see devils?

Yeah we did when we we're more in Mountain Valley, Loongana. Impressive animalls!

Gave you a follow.

I only know them from tv ;) Noisy fellas! And a bit scary too.

Thanks :)
