Japanese Department Stores 🍣

Today, I am going to talk about the food stores located in the department stores in Japan. In Japan, 30% of all households are single-family. So they selling a lot of Bento for those who living alone! Bento is a meal common in Japanese cuisine, made to take away from home to be eaten somewhere else.

You can easily get a variety of delicious Bento at convenience stores, but if you want to have a better quality of Bento, please visit department store's food store!

Most of the Japanese department store has food stores in the basement.

We went shopping at Daimaru Department Store in the area called Tenjin in Fukuoka and found a Korean food corner in there. As soon as we saw kimchi, my mother and I decided to have lunch here lol.

We bought some Bento and ate at the table in a department store. But Japanese people started to staring at us. So we thought maybe it’s not normal eating lunch at the department for Japanese people Haha.(It's pretty normal in Korea)

I think it was about $20 for all three Bento. The price was really affordable, and the quality of sushi was better than the sushi restaurant!

I chose the mackerel sushi for lunch, and my Mother chose one of the Korean Bento, and we also bought sushi for sharing.

Mackerel sushi is an inexpensive compare to another sushi, but it is really delicious and gives you satiety a lot. I really like the mackerel sushi but my mother says it smells too fishy. But if you like mackerel please try mackerel sushi! It’s really good with lemon and wasabi!

There are also lots of good dessert or cookies for souvenirs in the basement of department stores, so if you have plan of travel to Japan please visit! Thanks :)

일본의 백화점 식품관 🍣

일본 편의점에 이어 오늘은 일본 백화점 지하에 위치하고 있는 식품매장 이야기를 해보려고 합니다.

일본은 가구의 30%가 1인가구로 나홀로족이 많은 편입니다. 그러다보니 혼자사는 사람들을 위한 도시락이 정말 많이 발달해 있죠!

편의점만 가도 다양하고 맛있는 도시락을 쉽게 구할 수 있지만 보다 고급스러운 느낌의 도시락을 드시고 싶으시다면 백화점 식품관을 방문해 보세요~!

일본 대부분의 백화점 지하에는 식품매장이 자리잡고 있는데요, 여름 대표 보양식인 장어부터 시작해서, 각종 샐러드, 생선구이, 치즈, 스시, 도시락, 디저트 등등등등등을 손 쉽게 구매하실 수 있어요~!

저희는 텐진이라는 지역의 다이마루 백화점에서 쇼핑을 하던 도중 한국음식을 파는 코너를 발견했는데요~!! 김치를 보자마자 엄마와 저는 무언가에 이끌리듯 이곳에서 점심식사를 하게 되었답니다ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

저희는 몇가지 음식을 사서 백화점에 있던 테이블에서 먹었는데 일본인들이 지나가면서 다 쳐다보더라구요ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 일본인들은 저희처럼 백화점 내에서 먹지 않나봐요ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

세가지 도시락을 다 합쳐서 2만원정도 됬던거 같은데요, 가격도 저렴하고 웬만한 스시집보다 퀄리티도 좋아보이죠? 김치는 색은 새빨갛지만 사실 그리 맵지 않았어요. 그래도 일본에서 김치를 맛볼수 있다는 사실에 너무 감사했습니다^^

저는 고등어 스시를 골랐고 엄마는 한식 도시락 그리고 둘이 나눠먹을 스시를 하나 골랐습니다^^ 양이 진짜 많았어요ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

고등어 스시는 스시중에서도 저렴한 편 인데요, 배고플때 먹으면 정말 든든하고 맛있어요~! 저는 고등어를 정말 좋아하는데 저희 엄마는 너무 비리다고 안드시더라구요ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 레몬을 살짝 뿌리고 와사비 올려서 간장에 콕 찍어먹으면 진짜 맛있는데ㅜㅜ!!!

정말~ 다양한 먹거리들을 합리적인 가격에 팔고 있는 일본 백화점의 식품매장은 선물용으로 좋은 디저트나 쿠키등도 많이 팔고 있으니 여행 중 한번쯤 방문해보시는걸 추천해 드립니다^^
