The Magnificient Alpine Town Of Bovec

It's like Swiss
But it's not. Bovec is at nothwestern Slovenia, at the border with Italy. Only 136 km from the capital Ljubljana at an elevation of 434 m.

A cozy town with architectural influence from Italy and Austria. And of course Ex-Yugoslavia.
Through it goes Soca river, near there are ski slopes of Mount Kanin in the Julian Alps.

A thing to see there: Boka waterfall
There are many breathtaking sights but Boka waterfall there is in my opinion the greatest. Here you can see the photo of a Boka river. Plenty of green to relax your eyes!
What to eat there
Sheep products in many forms. Especially salty cottage cheese with cooked potatoes (Compe & Skuta). Or plain Bovec sheep cheese. The region has some interesting culinary specialities.
