Plitvice Lakes National Park - Beautiful nature in Croatia
Hello!
I will introduce you a beautiful national park in Croatia where we were on a trip.
Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the oldest national parks in Southeast Europe and the largest national park in Croatia. It is in the UNESCO since 1979.
It is situated in the mountainous karst area of central Croatia, at the border to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The protected area of the national park extends over 296.85 square kilometers, and it is visited by one million people every year.
In the park there are 16 lakes arranged in cascades and thanks to that, there is also a lot of waterfalls. The water is very clean and has a very beautiful colors from azure to green, gray or blue. The colors change constantly depending on the quantity of minerals or organisms in the water and the angle of sunlight.
The national park is also a home for a lot of endemic species. Well, we saw only a few birds, fishes and insect, but there also live bears, wolfs, lynxes, etc.

You had me at the first picture ;). I must go to Croatia immediately!
That's great! Croatia in inland is almost a wasteland, but it has also places like this, so it is worth it. Other points of interests are mainly on the coast.
E. g. I also created a post about Zadar city - Zadar - Beautiful city in Croatia. And if you are a fan of Game of Thrones series, some places like Red Keep are shoot in Dubrovnik. I will maybe create a post about it either.
