Zadar - Beautiful city in Croatia

After a week pause, I am here to introduce you a beautiful city in Croatia where we were on a trip.

Zadar is the oldest continuously inhabited and the fifth biggest city in Croatia. It is situated on the Adriatic Sea, at the northwestern part of Ravni Kotari region. It has only about 75 thousand inhabitants.

The most original and interesting object in the city is the Sea organ (Croatian: Morske orgulje). Which is an architectural sound art object, which plays music by way of sea waves and tubes located underneath a set of large marble steps.

I tried to record the sound, but there was a lot of people around who talked, and also some people were cleaning the steps with high-pressure cleaner, which creates an annoying sound, so I found some video on Youtube, so you can see and hear the organ.

On the video there is also another interesting monument, which is The Greeting to the Sun. It consists of three hundred multi-layered glass plates placed on the same level with the stone-paved waterfront in the shape of a 22-meter diameter circle, with the photo-voltage solar modules underneath. Lighting elements installed in a circle turn on at night, and produce show of light. We were in Zadar in the morning, so we didn't see it in action :(

Those were the most modern and original monuments in Zadar. The city also has a long history. I won't tell you that because I would have to copy and paste it from Wikipedia because I don't know it :D so you can read it on Wikipedia on your own. I will only show you a few pictures to introduce it.
