Trip to Ukraine: Central Park of Culture and Recreation "Dubovaya Roscha" in Zaporozhye

Hey Steemers! Today is 31st of March. Only a week ago it snowed and snow-cleaning machines worked in the city. But the weather has changed and you can see around a green lawns and first flowers. Today is a great day for a walk.

Central Park of Culture and Recreation "Dubovaya Roscha" (Ukrainian - "Duboviy gai". Translate to EN - "Oaks Grove") - a park in the Alexandrovsky district of Zaporozhye.

The park was founded on May 1, 1959. In the park except for oaks there is a different flora. The total area of ​​the park is 57 hectares (570,000 square metres), of which five hectares are a natural reserve fund. Every year new trees and flowers are planted in the park. There are new attractions and animals.

Despite the "progress" in the improvement, I would note some signs of apparent regression.

Old attractions since the 60-ies of the last century. Strangely enough, they still function and people are not afraid to climb on them with their children, even pay money for it. Today I did not have opportunity to make photos of all the attractions and go around all places in the park, but I have something to show.

Most of the alleys are lined with tiles, which has remained since the foundation of the park - since 1959. It is in a bad condition, it can be seen in the photo. Some alleys are covered with the same old asphalt.

Public toilet. This is an integral element of the public place. Otherwise, the trees in the park would be fertilized with natural bio waste of Human. In truth, this happens with a toilets, but not in such volumes as without it.

This old toilet has survived from the times of the USSR. They used it for 59 years! My grandmother and grandfather, my parents and me came in these doors and emerged from this small building covering their noses from the stench of the calorific value. This phrase can be said from the first person by every resident of this city. LOL ))

In the park there is at least 1 old toilet and 1-2 modern toilets. Modern toilets are a little cleaner than old ones and there is water, the entrance costs 2 UAH (today it's 0.076 USD).

But I do not want to focus on the shortcomings. It is a beautiful and peaceful place for rest of the whole family.

In the park "Oaks Grove" in summer is green and cool in the shade of old trees.

Here you can eat the best shish kebab with pork. Today I ordered a serving of 300 grams of pork, this is the best lunch during the walk. I will not be able to taste such meat in Israel in the coming year.
