Landscape Photography: natural beauty of Comino, hidden gem of Mediterranean Sea
Hi there my Steemit friends and followers!
Through my entry for today´s #landscapephotography contest hosted by @juliank, I will show you what easily is one of the most beautiful islands I have ever seen - the picturesque little island of Comino in Malta.
Covering a total area of just 3.5 sq km (1.4 sq mi), this island is so small you can literally walk around it back and forth in a few hours.
There are only 3 (yes - three!) permanent residents living on Comino so if you come here in the low tourist season, it feels like you have the entire island just for you :)
On the other hand, if you visit this stunning piece of Malta in the high season (June to September), be ready to share the extraordinary beauty of the island with crowds of tourists.
But it will be still absolutely worth the visit as the landscape of Comino is simply breathtaking ;)
😊 Reading your post @phortun I am just waiting for my daughter to finish packing as we are leaving Gozo today and returning to the UK after a wonderful 5 day break.
We didn't go to Camino but spent a day at Hondoq and so had it, and the blue lagoon, in our sights all day.

Wow, thank you so much, I feel honored :) Yeah, Malta is sweet. But I can see you live on Gran Canaria, right? That is awesome, I used to live on Tenerife for a few months - I love the Canary Islands! :))
Oh, Tenerife - how nice! I've been living there for 3 years. Now I am based on Lanzarote. I love the Canaries, too :-)
Lanzarote, wow :) I thought you live on GC as you mentioned this island in one of your videos :) Have you been to all seven islands? I have only been to Tenerife so far, we lived in Puerto de la Cruz, beautiful town in the north :)

Hello @phortun! I have never heard about this island but it really looks like a lovely place! Did you swim there? The water looks amazing! :)..Did you find any cool animals on the island?
Hey @borran! Yeah, we did swim and snorkel there :) Not too many animals on the island itself as it really is super small but there was some nice wildlife under the water ;)
