USA West Coast Roadtrip - by @oozora - Day #8

Hello and welcome to my Steemis,

Day 8 of my journey begins.
Today we are at Bryce Canyon National Park.
As you can see, we have focused more on the national parks and beautiful landscapes than on the cities.
The National Park was declared a National Monument in 1924 and a National Park in 1928.
As so far almost everywhere on our trip, this park was very easy to reach and we arrived very relaxed here.

An approximately 56 kilometers long, easily accessible panoramic road leads in a north-south direction through the entire park. Along this road are 14 impressive viewpoints and many hiking trails down to the amphitheaters and hoodoos. Here you have the opportunity to admire the impressive natural monument.

Let's start with the pictures from Day 8

Sunrise Point
On 15.10.2017 is 07:37 clock Sunrise. Approximately 15-20 min before you should on
Sunrise Point arrived. Parking is abundant.
Just enter Bryce Canyon Sunrise Point on Google Maps and you'll have it.

Those who like sunrises will get their money's worth here.
But it was pretty cold in the morning.
We had temperatures below zero degrees.

Rainbow Point
Just south of Bryce Canyon National Park (end of UT-63 road). From here you have to
you go back the same street completely to get out of the park and yourself
on the way to the next stop.

Another beautiful vantage point.
Just stop and take a photo stop in between to make something interesting
Car looks out.

Very interesting and beautiful rock and stone formations.
Definitely worth it to take a little more time and to take a look at everything in peace.

Bryce Natural Bridge
Lies further south in the park on the "main road" UT-63, parking is enough available.
If you like cool rock and rock formations, you will definitely get their money's worth here.
The breakthrough was not created by running water, but by the eroding forces of rain and frost. The span of the arch is 38 meters.

Spontaneous photo stop at this point.
We just liked it and we took some pictures:)

Inspiration Point
From here you have the best view of "Silent City" on the left. This jagged structure of cohesive hoodoos is over 183 meters long, up to 61 meters high and is one of the most famous motifs of Bryce Canyon.

Najavo Trail
2,2 km (Round trip)
The Navajo Trail starts at Sunset Point. It descends into the Bryce "Amphiteather"
through a slot canyon. Short walk of 2.2 km, through the slopes, however
more exciting than the other short trails.

A small slot canyon experience. Take enough water and food with whom you go hiking:)

Mossy Cave Trail
1,3 km (Round trip)
On the Mossy Cave Trail you walk to a small waterfall, parking is also abundant here.

A small beautiful waterfall in the middle of the forest.
Just walk down the Mossy Cave Trail and you will find this waterfall easy too.

HORSESHOE BEND - Page, Arizona
From the parking Horseshoe Bend Parking Lot it is still about 10-15 minutes walk to the
Observation deck at Horseshoe Bend. The sunset was on 15.10.2017 for
17:49 announced.

The day is slowly over and we are slowly on our way to the hotel to recharge our batteries for the next day.

That was our day 8 at Bryce Canyon and Horseshoe Bend.
This day was a bit more relaxed as we were traveling a lot by car and our legs could recover from the day before: D

Hallo und Herzlich Willkommen meine Steemis,

Tag 8 meiner Reise bricht an.
Am heutigen Tag befinden wir uns am Bryce Canyon National Park.
Ihr merkt auf unserer Reise haben wir uns mehr auf die National Parks und schöne Landschaften fokussiert, als auf die Städte.
Der Nationalpark wurde 1924 zum National Monument und 1928 zum National Park erklärt.
Wie bisher fast überall auf unserer Reise, war auch dieser Park sehr einfach zu erreichen und wir kamen sehr entspannt hier an.

Eine rund 56 Kilometer lange, leicht befahrbare Panoramastraße führt in Nord-Südrichtung durch den gesamten Park. Entlang dieser Straße liegen 14 beeindruckende Aussichtspunkte und viele Wanderwege hinunter zu den Amphitheatern und Hoodoos. Hier hat man die Möglichkeit, das beeindruckende Naturmonument zu bewundern.

Legen wir los mit den Bildern aus Tag 8

Sunrise Point
Am 15.10.2017 ist um 07:37 Uhr Sonnenaufgang. Ca. 15-20 min vorher sollte man am
Sunrise Point angekommen sein. Parkplätze sind reichlich vorhanden.
Einfach Bryce Canyon Sunrise Point eingeben in Google Maps und schon habt ihr es.

Wer Sonnenaufgänge mag wird hier voll auf seine Kosten kommen.
Aber es war ziemlich Kalt an dem Morgen.
Wir hatten Temperaturen unter Null Grad.

Rainbow Point
Ganz im Süden des Bryce Canyon Nationalpark (Ende der Straße UT-63). Von hier aus muss
man die gleiche Straße komplett wieder zurückfahren, um aus dem Park zu kommen und sich
auf den Weg zur nächsten Zwischenstation zu machen.

Ein weiterer Schöner Aussichtspunkt.
Einfach anhalten und Fotostops machen zwischendurch wen man etwas interessantes vom
Auto heraus sieht.

Sehr interessante und super schöne Fels- und Steinformationen.
Lohnt sich aufjedenfall sich etwas mehr Zeit zu nehmen und sich alles in ruhe anzugucken.

Bryce Natural Bridge
Liegt weiter südlich im Park an der „Hauptstraße“ UT-63, Parkplätze sind genug vorhanden.
Wer coole Fels und Steinformationen mag der wird hier voll auf seine Kosten kommen.
Der Durchbruch wurde nämlich nicht von fließendem Wasser geschaffen, sondern durch die erodierenden Kräfte von Regen und Frost. Die Spannweite des Bogens beträgt 38 Meter.

Spontaner Fotostop am diesem Punkt.

Inspiration Point

Von hier hat man den besten Ausblick auf "Silent City" zur Linken. Diese besonders zerklüftete Struktur aus zusammenhängenden Hoodoos ist über 183 Meter lang, bis zu 61 Meter hoch und eines der bekanntesten Motive des Bryce Canyons.

Najavo Trail
2,2 km (Round trip)
Der Navajo Trail beginnt am Sunset Point. Es geht absteigend in das Bryce “Amphiteather”
durch einen Slot-Canyon. Kurze Wanderung von 2,2 km, durch die Steigungen jedoch
anstregender als die anderen kurzen Wanderwege.

Eine Kleine Slot Canyon Erfahrung :)
Nehmt aufjedenfall genug Wasser und Essen mit wen ihr Wandern geht.

Mossy Cave Trail
1,3 km (Round trip)
Auf dem Mossy Cave Trail wandert man zu einem kleinen Wasserfall, Parkplätze sind auch hier reichlich vorhanden.

Ein kleiner Schöner Wasserfall mitten im Wald.
Einfach den Mossy Cave Trail entlang gehen und ihr werdet diesen Wasserfall auch leicht finden.

HORSESHOE BEND - Page, Arizona
Vom Parkplatz Horseshoe Bend Parking Lot sind es noch etwa 10-15 min Fußweg bis zur
Aussichtsplattform am Horseshoe Bend. Der Sonnenuntergang war am 15.10.2017 für
17:49 Uhr angekündigt.

Der Tag geht langsam zuende und wir machen uns langsam auf den Weg zum Hotel um Kraft zu tanken für den nächsten Tag.

Das war unser Tag 8 am Bryce Canyon und Horseshoe Bend.
Dieser Tag war etwas entspannter , da wir viel mit dem Auto unterwegs waren und die Beine sich erholen konnten von den Tag davor :D
