USA West Coast Roadtrip - by @oozora - Day #1

Hello Steemis,

I have decided to share my America Roadtrip with you.
I will try to reproduce the Roadtrip as detailed as possible.
We were in the time from 08.10.2017 to the 21.10.2017 in America.
The people in America are, according to my feeling, very nice and openminded.
Small talks with stranger is totaly normal there :D

It was a lot of fun in America / California.
The weather as well as the open minded people are definitely worth a visit.
I have fallen into the country and will definitely come back.

It takes a lot of preparations before you can go to America.
You must first create a route planning where you want to go anywhere.
Afterwards the route planning is finished and you know what sights and cities you want to see, the booking of the right and appropriate motels or hotels starts.
The whole thing you should exactly like the rental car everything from home book.
So you spoiled the annoying motels in the late evening, which is already eh already tired and broken.
Most motels as well as hotels we paid in advance from Germany.
Some we could not pay in advance, we have paid Dan on the spot.
For the preparations and searches we took 1 month time and everything written down where we want everything to go and which cities absolutely with pure.
We had a relatively large selection of motels and hotels in the time we were there in America.
If we had driven to high season, everything would have become much more difficult in the center of the cities what to get at fair prices.

We flew with Lufthansa.
It was a very pleasant and relaxing flight.

Pick up our car at National at the airport in San Francisco.
The car is a Chevrolet Tahoe with 355 hp.
I am looking forward to driving this car for the next 2 weeks:

Check in the motel in northern San Francisco.
Very nice owner and the motel is in a good condition.

By the way, we were 4 people at this Roadtrip.

To come to the viewpoints on the other side (Marin Headlands)
, we had to drive by car, since we do not have the time
the approximately 2,7 ​​km long bridge back and forth (+ hiking trails too

Be sure to go to one of the viewpoints to experience the bridge at sunset.
The Baker Beach is a great place to take beautiful pictures at sunset.

To the children in the background it is probably not too cold to put a foot into the sea: D

Palace of Fine Arts Theatre

The Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina District in San Francisco, California is a building originally built for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition of 1915

In the evening the parking lots are relatively empty and you get a parking lot right next to the theater.
During the day it is a bit crowded and accordingly difficult to get a car park close by.

Especially for dusk the light play is awesome.
Here you can capture wonderful colors with the appropriate camera.

Worth a visit.
Here you can also sit and relax wonderfully.

Our dinner: D
Typically American.
We had planned a visit to the restaurant at 20:00.
But we were very tired from the flight.
So we decided to eat something relatively fast, since the pizzeria was just right next to our motel: D
The next 2 weeks we have eaten almost the same.

I hope you enjoyed the first day.

Hallo Steemis,

ich habe mich entschlossen meinen Amerika Roadtrip mit euch zu teilen.
Ich werde versuchen den Roadtrip so detailliert wie möglich wiederzugeben.
Wir waren in der Zeit vom 08.10.2017 bis zum 21.10.2017 in Amerika.
Die Menschen in Amerika sind nach meinem Empfinden sehr Nett und Offen.
Man wird des öfteren an der Straße oder in der Stadt angesprochen .
Small Talk stehen in Amerika an der Tagesordnung.

Es hat mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht in Amerika / Kalifornien .
Das Wetter sowie die offenen Menschen sind definitiv einen Besuch Wert.
Ich habe mich in das Land ein bisschen Verliebt und werde definitiv wieder kommen.

Es bedarf einer Menge an Vorbereitungen bevor man aufbrechen kann nach Amerika.
Man muss zuerst eine Routenplanung erstellen wo man den überall hin will.
Anschließend wen die Routenplanung fertig ist und man weiß welche Sehenswürdigkeiten und Städte man sehen will, geht das Buchen der richtigen und Entsprechenden Motels oder Hotels los.
Das ganze sollte man genau wie den Mietwagen am besten alles von Zuhause aus Buchen.
So erspart man sich das lästige Motels suchen am späten Abend wen man eh schon total Müde und Kaputt ist.
Die meisten Motels sowie Hotels haben wir im voraus aus Deutschland bezahlt.
Einige konnten wir nicht im Voraus bezahlen , diese haben wir Dan vor Ort bezahlt.
Für die Vorbereitungen und Recherchen haben wir uns 1 Monat Zeit genommen und alles aufgeschrieben wo wir alles hinfahren wollen und welche Städte unbedingt mit reinmüssen.
Wir hatten noch relativ viel Auswahl an Motels und Hotels in der Zeit wo wir da waren in Amerika.
Wären wir zur Hochsaison gefahren , wäre alles viel schwieriger geworden im Zentrum der Städte was zu bekommen zu fairen Preisen.

Abholung unsere Autos bei National am Flughafen in San Francisco.
Das Auto ist ein Chevrolet Tahoe mit 355 PS .
Ich freu mich schon drauf dieses Auto die nächsten 2 Wochen fahren zu dürfen :=
Noch ist das Auto sauber :D

Check IN im Motel im Norden San Franciscos.
Sehr nette Inhaber und das Motel ist in einem Guten Zustand.

Wir waren übrigens 4 Leute bei diesem Roadtrip.

Um zu den Aussichtspunkten auf der anderen Seite (Marin Headlands) zu
kommen, mussten wir mit dem Auto fahren, da wir nicht die Zeit haben
die ca. 2,7 km lange Brücke hin- und zurückzulaufen (+ Wanderwege zu
den Aussichtspunkten auf der anderen Seite). Stadtsauswärts kostet es
nichts. Um wieder nach San Francisco reinzukommen, muss eine Maut
i. H. v. ca. 7.50 USD entrichtet werden.
Problem: Die Maut kann nicht in Bar oder KK vor der Brücke bezahlt werden.
Entweder kauft man vorher in San Francisco irgendwo (Kiosk, Supermarkt) einen Maut-Aufkleber für die
Brücke oder man lässt sich beim Autovermieter einen Transponder geben,
der die Maut automatisch erfasst und zahlt dann am Ende bei Abgabe des
Mietwagens diese Gebühr.
Man kann diese Maut aber auch bequem über die Online Seite der Stadt bezahlen.
Bei uns war es so das wir vergessen hatten die Maut vorher zu bezahlen, reinfahren in die Stadt zurück kann man ohne Probleme.
Nur wird dann irgendwann zu euch nachhause eine Rechnung einfliegen, weil ihr die Gebühr nicht bezahlt habt.
Deshalb sind wir dann abends auf diese Seite hier gegangen und haben dort bequem mit der Kreditkarte bezahlt.

Sonnenuntergang in San Francisco am 08.10.2017: 18:42 Uhr

Unbedingt zu einem der Aussichtspunkte fahren um die Brücke bei Sonnenuntergang zu erleben.
Der Baker Beach eignet sich hervorragend um schöne Bilder bei Sonnenuntergang machen zu können.

Den Kindern im Hintergrund ist es wohl anscheinend nicht zu Kalt um einen Fuß ins Meer zu setzen :D

Schöner Strand um die Seele baumeln zu lassen.
Man hat von hier einen Schönen Blick auf die Brücke.

Der Palace of Fine Arts im Marina District in San Francisco, Kalifornien ist ein Gebäude, das ursprünglich für die Panama-Pacific International Exposition von 1915 errichtet wurde

Richtung Abends sind die Parkplätze relativ leer und man kriegt leicht ein Parkplatz direkt neben dem Theater.
Tagsüber ist es dort etwas voller und dementsprechend schwer ein Parkplatz in der Nähe zu bekommen.

Vorallem zur Dämmerung ist das Lichtspiel genial.
Hier kann man wunderbare Farben einfangen mit der entsprechenden Kamera.

Aufjedenfall ein Besuch wert.
Hier kann man sich auch wunderbar einfach hinsetzen und entspannen.

Unser Abendessen :D
Typisch Amerikanisch.
Geplant hatten wir ein besuch im Restaurant um 20:00 Uhr.
Aber wir waren total müde noch vom Flug.
Deshalb haben wir uns entschlossen etwas relativ schnelles zu essen, da kam die Pizzeria genau recht die direkt neben unserem Motel war :D
Die nächsten 2 Wochen haben wir fast genauso gegessen.

Ich hoffe euch hat der erste Tag gefallen.
Am erstten Tag hab ich nich soviele Fotos gemacht.
Da wir alle noch relativ müde waren :D
