#TakeTrip (10) - The Northern of Thailand Ep.2 Part 2, Nan Province

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

Hello everyone, I am back :)))

From Uttaradit Province, We drove up north to Nan Province and our first stop was at Kok Sua (The Tiger's Den). It is a very large space in the ground caused by the ground sinking. There is a story about it that in the past they used this area for killing the tigers that came to hunt their animals. They chased the tigers down there and threw stones and wood at them. And that is why they named it Kok Sua which means Tiger's Den.

Then we drove to have a swim at Kaeng Luang and walked down to the Nan River.

Then we drove up the mountain to Si Nan National Park to stay overnight at Doi Samer Dao. This place is a wonderful place, the view was really good and you can rent the tent here for a fair price.

Wat Phra That Khao Noi - this temple is on the top of the hill which you can see the view of the town from up here.

After visiting places around Nan town we headed to Phayao Province but before we left we stopped at this temple on the way - Wat Rong Ngae, a small temple built by Thai Lue. This temple is simple but beautiful and traditional.
