Visiting Donkey farm
On the Pelješac peninsula, in the picturesque village of Kuna me and my family had one-of-a- kind experience to hang out with
these beautiful and friendly animals.
The donkeys are not so common in Dalmatia as they used to be… There are only about 1000 of them left in the coastal region of Dalmatia and one survey in 1998 had listed 8000 donkeys total in Croatia . Back in 1937, there were 40 000 of them!

The donkeys were very tame and curious, they want to cuddle and communicate with you. For us people from the city it was superb experience.
The entrance to the farm is not charged, but only if you want you can buy their precious milk.
But besides their precious milk these wonderful and hospitable animals gave us their friendship and memories that we will not forget about for long, long time.
Oh my goodness!!!! So darling!!! I love the selfies with the donkeys, especially the very first picture :) They are so calm .. They look pathetic with their ears down, do you happen to know why they put their ears down? I think it would be so fun to visit a donkey farm .. not sure we have anything like that here in California? So darn cute :) Thanks for putting a smile on my face .. SUNSHINE247

Almost, they are freely moving on a larger area ,but are still fenced.

Howdy, Oleg! Have you got any donkey milk there? I heard that goat milk is very healthy, but donkey one! Do they smell btw? I currently live in Thailand, they don't have any donkeys over here, but there are many other wonderful animals:) Followed you and upvoted!Have a great day!
Old people are saying that donkey milk is even more healthy than the goat milk. supposedly cures cough and is full of quality vitamins .
The milk is sweet and does not smell. It very expensive tough, 1 l is 55 E.

Nice post. Donkies are perhaps the most undervaluated animals close to the human. When I was once in Afghanistan I saw the poor beasts, loden with stuff that you could see only the legs... In rural areas it is the best transportation vehicle. As I used to be on a horse I tried myself to go on the donkey. Wow that was quite an experience. All children laught about that stupid grown up foreigner.
