Exploring Rome
Today I want to share with you more of the normal parts of Rome, outside of the main tourist attractions (yes, I know, the main picture is of the Trevi Fountain - a huge tourist attraction, but I love the picture). One of the most amazing things about Rome is that there is beauty in the city even outside of the major attractions. I find myself in awe almost everytime we turn the corner. Some of the most amazing places are alleys lined with little restaurants and shops. There are fountains on random street corners and statues in the middle of piazzas. Church domes decorated with amazing frescos. Graffiti that belongs in a gallery. Even many of the doors to everyday buildings are beautiful. Here are some pictures from everyday Rome that I loved. Bonus pic of me wondering how someone folded a menu in half...the restaurant had strict instructions not to fold them because they will break. Who folds a menu in half?!
