I work in Washington DC and agree with you, it is beautiful and mostly clean (I could show you some areas that aren’t so clean).
When you pass the buildings and monuments daily it’s easy to take them for granted. Sometimes you need to see them through the eyes of a visitor.
Yes that's actually true!! Visitors just see it differently :)
Maybe you can appreciate your work area a little bit more now ;)))
It's just nice that they keep most areas clean although there are so many people every day.
