Osaka Universal Studios.

I didn't realise that Universal studios had presence in Japan. It was always assumed that it was an American studio.

Actually this studio opened in 2001 to a resounding success with over 11 million visitors in the first year. Each year, it continues to attract about 8 million visitors, most of which are native locals, or tourists from surrounding Asian countries.

Probably my favourite part is the Hogwarts sets. These are actually not the originals which are located in the UK, but they are equally impressive and ever so detailed. Every part of it is like a scene from the movie, I couldn't detach myself from feeling as if I was being filmed. I guess that's the kind of feeling you always have when visiting a movie studio.

There's also the Snoopy studios which is something more popular in Asia now than it was when it was popular in the west. Maybe some of you who are 30 or older will recognise the characters and scenes.

The last most amazing place is the spiderman exhibit / studio. Outside a huge spiderman welcomes you inside. If you look carefully you can see it's actually firing out a web. The building is also an exactly replica of the one from the original movie set in New York.

What do you actually do when you visit movie studios? It's about getting into the right mindset. Trigger your imagination and set yourself free. The whole place is your oyster to act out the stories in your mind as you think of them. Sometimes, movies don't play out the way you expect, and here is an opportunity to playfully rewrite those stories yourself.
