Hello fello Steemians

Today I am first going to take you through a spiritual journey and then through a relaxing night at a beach. The journey starts with an unexpected plan to take a road trip but no place is decided as of yet so we friends just rent a car and head towards Gokarna(a popular beach destination in Karnataka).

This image is of a beach that we saw on our way to Murudeshwar Temple. All though at this moment no one was there but still it looked very serene so we had to stop here to capture its beauty :smile:

Although it was sunny in the beginning of our trip but soon some heavy clouds took over the sun and it became dark pretty quick. As the weather changed for good so it was time was some on the road clicks :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

After the lovely drive we reached Murudeshwara Temple. And the image that you are watching is just the entrance to the temple and not the temple itself. Such an immense structure just for an entrance is amazing proof of people's religious sentiments in this part of the country.

This is the actual temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, also know as the Destroyer. It is believed that if the third eye of lord Shiva ever opens then the whole world will be destroyed.

After making our prayers we headed off to Gokarna beach. This is the main Gokarna beach. I have to tell you this beach is not very clean so if you ever decide to visit Gokarna the try to avoid this beach. But since we were already here so we decided to stay for the sunset.

After the sunset we headed to our second beach destination but first we lost our way and ended up on this amazing cliff.

After spending sometime on the cliff we found our way to our destination, Om Beach and headed towards a shack for dinner

They had amazing crabs and a mind blowingly low price. Rs 150(appx $2) for a crab

After finishing our dinner we had a few beers(only beer was available) and headed for our hotel to end a perfect day.
