The monument to Wenceslas on horseback, I will say a few words about it, serves as the main guide for tourists with excursions. Why, in his part called the area.
The statue of St. Wenceslas on horseback belongs to the work of Yosef Myslbek, whose project was chosen at the contest. The bronze Wenceslas holds a spear in his right hand. It is surrounded by four saints - Prokop, Vojtech, Lyudmila and Anechka. Vaclav belonged to the family of Przemysl. His principality was in the X century. He took a vow of celibacy and tried to introduce Christianity not only in the Czech Republic, but also in Germany. The majority of the population at that time were pagans who did not like Vaclav's Christian agitation at all. At age 28 Vaslav was killed at the entrance to the temple.
That's how he became a symbolic patron of Prague.
