feeding monkeys - unser toller Affenberg
Let me take you to our little jungle in Germany called "Affenberg" which means monkey mountain or monkey hill.
Affenberg is like a park where you can observe the monkeys living. They are not in cages. They live there like they would live in the Atlas mountains of Algeria and Morocco. You can even feed the monkeys while you walk through the forest. It feels like a different world.
🇩🇪 Unser toller Affenberg in Salem bei Konstanz :) Ich hab bisher nur tolle Erfahrungen dort gemacht und ich muss sagen, es lohnt sich hinzugehen! Sobald man durch den Park laeuft, fuehlt es sich wie in einer anderen Welt an :)Die Affen sind dort nicht in Kaefige, sondern leben in einem grossen Waldgebiet. Urspruenglich kommen sie aus Marokko und Algerien.
The monkeys are called Barbary macaques.

you get free popcorn to feed the Barbary macaques. Yes they eat popcorn :)
🇩🇪 Du bekommst kostenloses Popcorn um sie zu fuettern, ja sie essen Popcorn :)
And of course it is a great experience for children. But I don't know who gets more hyped, adults or kids :D
🇩🇪 Natuerlich bereitet es vor allem den Kindern Freude, wobei ich mir nicht sicher bin, wer mehr aufgeregt ist, die Erwachsenen oder die Kinder :D
There are guides situated along the path to answer questions and explain the monkeys behavior.
🇩🇪 Es gibt Mitarbeiter entlang den Wegen, die Fragen beantworten und das Verhalten der Affen erklaeren.

Och nö! Die sind aber süß!! 😍 Wir haben auf besagter Chinareise auch ähnliche Affen sehr nah gesehen, aber ich hätte mich nicht getraut sie anzufassen, weil es eben wilde Affen sind und man nie weiß, ob sie vielleicht doch beißen.
Ich habe noch nie von diesem Affenberg gehört. Das fände ich ja auch mal cool dahin zu fahren ;-)
ja anfassen darf man die auch nicht. nur Essen geben :D musst mal schauen, ist echt cool dort, ne tolle Erfahrung. Kannst auch gleich den Bodensee besuchen, wunderschoen dort.

This is so nice, feel like my garden. We have so many monkeys living in the bushes around us, but they get naughty because they pinch my avocados.
Yet we still love them. Thank you for sharing with us.
