NEW CALICO RIVER RAPIDS 2019 Grand Opening
Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park California has opened the NEW CALICO RIVER RAPIDS and it is spectacular. A must watch and a must ride. You will love it.
First created as Big Foot Rapids the aging attraction has been revamped with excellent attention to detail. Animatronics are spread throughout the rugged wilderness scenery and the river has new rapids that make the ride a must experience.
The great thing is there is a big foot creature lurking, waiting for you to drift on by.
With over 20 open air animitronics Cedar Fair Parks has really complimented the western theme with this great rafting ride through a most wonderful display of nature.
Congratulations Cedar Fair. Knott's Berry Farm has done it again. It is such a great place to visit, vacation, and play at.

This looks really great and i always enjoy these rides. The last time I was on something very similar was at the water world in Florida. You just know you are going to get wet at some point as that is what happens at a water park lol.
I dressed for it. It amazes me how some people just are not expecting to get wet. They adjust the dampness higher in the summer.
I also saw that when people go to a water park and don't expect to get wet lol. The one we were at had massive driers that you could stand in.

I am so honored.
hi @louinator59, your video is very beautiful, the feeling of adventure that transmits is beautiful !! But I didn't understand a thing: is it very fast or a quiet journey?
congratulations for the curie vote and thanks for sharing with us
The que is huge. As you walk, if you take your time, you can see much of the wilderness. But when on the ride the rafts flow quickly. For a ride, I love it. As for enjoying the real wilderness I say watch what I did a few days before. We got out in the real wilderness at Joshua Tree National Park.
That was really a nice ride you had experienced. I think it is totally worth it. You were able to have some bumpy ride while looking at the sceneries, they are cool by the way. Good thing you also get to take a shot of the Big Foot. If only I can go to that place, I will really definitely try to ride on it with my friends.
Cheers mate!
It was a very fast ride and we had to zoom through the que. The story goes along the lines of traveling Lewis & Clark style down river in search of homesteading properties. The whole Ghost Town has this ongoing evolving story. It expands with the park and they are said to be working on a park expansion for the near future.
That was so much fun to watch I can't even imagine how it is to be inside that ride! The bear and the Bigfoot were great additions to the whole experience, and that queue was more like a tour than an actual queue, that was fast, I loved your intro song man, thanks for sharing!

Looks like a fun place and judging from the number of people gathered at the entrance, must be popular too. I'm not sure it's my favorite kind of fun but I guess if I would be in the neighborhood, I would check it out. I've never been rafting, so it would be a first but then again, there's a first for everything, right?
Thanks for the video and hae a nice weekend.
