Nature Travel #9 | Two days Boat trip from Thailand to Laos - Part 2

This is the second day of our boat travel to Luang Prabang - Laos, if you want to see the first day to know what is happening click here. So, we slept in a guest house in a small riverside village, Pag Beng. I have the impression this village only exist to us the tourists, and when there weren't tourist coming around, the village had nothing.

It's a very small village but it had all we needed to our last day in the boat.

There is a thing that I need to tell you if one day you go to Laos. I went to a bar in this village that is named Happy Bar, when we arrive a friend asked to the barmen what was the meaning of happy, it's a word that was in some things that you can order, and the barman said: marijuana.

So for those of you that like a good party, happy bar is the bar for you. Everything that have happy on it in Laos have marijuana, I don't know if its legal but its a thing there.

So after a good night sleep an a surprisingly great breakfast we enter in a new boat, this boat was so much more fancy than the firs one, I don't know why this difference but I like it. The boat have tables now, not much comfortable with seats of wood but that's alright. So we leave from Pag Beng to Luang Pranang around 8:30.

By this time everyone in the boat had a good mood and making friends already, it was a great trip because of many things, one is the social opportunity to meed people from all around the world, that is traveling tight? And the view was there too.

On the way we've stopped many time to pick and leave locals to their respective villages. It was really funny because all the time there were kids playing around an all exited about our passage. There were some villages that had many children and some even selling stuff to the people in the boat.

By the end of the day we arrive at Luang Prabang the ancient capital of Laos, a cultural city that have many things to offer, I will cover that in the next post.
