The BEAUTIFUL Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden! // The South African Experience
Hey Steemitians! Short but very sweet article on my journey through this STUNNING garden! No doubt, this is a graceful and heavenly place to explore. I visited the Kirstenbosch Gardens with my boyfriend, it’s definitely a one of a kind experience. If you like historical figures and iconic monuments, you will LOVE this place. It’s Mother Nature at its finest. There is SO much ART in this garden and it’s trees and rich fynbos! See the pictures below of some examples of the journey I went on through the garden...
If you do research, you’ll find that in 1913, a botanist called Harold Pearson set about transforming the land into a bontanical garden devoted to the country’s indengious flora. It now contains 7000 species of plants from Southern Africa.
Besides the beautiful journey through the garden, you are able to lay your blanket down & have a nice picnic in the garden, enjoy the sun and the scent of the plants and trees around you. Me and boyfriend had such a relaxing time with our picnic between the trees, we took a light nap. Could be one of the top 3 best naps I ever took!
