Cancun Pt 4- Spa Days are the Best Days

Our trip was coming to an end and all we wanted to do was spend the day relaxing at the spa. One of the benefits of staying in the Turquoise Towers at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun was free use of the spa facilities. I really enjoyed this because instead of just enjoying the spa for a few moments before a message we could come and go as we please, take a quick dip and just relax for a bit.

There are many pools around the resort, but the spa was the perfect place to get away from it all. Walking down a long stone corridor highlighted by mood lighting you hear peaceful zen music slowly grow louder as you come into a large beautiful open space. The sounds of water pouring into the pool, the floor to ceiling windows letting in an abundance of natural light, it really takes you out of your head and calms the body. This was the perfect place to reminisce and soak in the last moments of our vacation.

Guy’s favorite part of the place was the steam room. Coming in we would grab some cold towels infused with lavender water and take them into the room, placing the towels over our head and let the smell permeate the space around us. After heating up our bodies it was time for a type II fun, jumping into the ice plunge. Whew! Definitely not my cup of tea, I passed on that amenity.

I personally enjoyed the temperature controlled pool. I love swimming but slowly adapting to cold water is a pretty big mental deterrent for me. Walking up I dipped my toes in the water and found it to me pleasantly warm! This is the best! Just perfect no winds no noise I can feel like Im swimming outside and be in my little haven.

Yes spa days are definitely the best days. It was the perfect way to end our stay.
