RE: 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - North American Friday week #65 - the absolute winner takes 200 SBD!
Taken last summer at the Columbia Ice Fields in Jasper National Park. The tiny vehicle you see on the road is actually a huge coach bus, We were on our way to a guided tour to step onto the glaciers. The Columbia Icefield area has several glaciers and has some of the largest and thickest non-polar permafrost. This Area is the watershed for much of Western North-America both US and Canada and it's glacial melt feeds in 3 separate ocean, a rare phenomenon called Hydrological Apex .
It does look very impressive from! Thank you so much for sharing your great entry. Have a good one.
