THE LEAD UP TO WHAT MAY BE THE BIGGEST DECISION OF MY LIFE
This has been by far the most difficult thing that I’ve ever attempted.
The master plan of where I was going for the next 12+ months, how I was going to explain to my parents that I’m leaving the best company to work for in the world, how I was going to survive without a steady income, without knowing 10 different languages, with only 4 months to save up, and pack 10 years worth of possession into a 40L backpack and venture out into the unknown.
It was a very frightening thought and there were countless times when I thought of turning back and give in to the comfort of Google to be on track to lead a successful career..
But just as I was mentally preparing and tossing up the options, I had an opportunity to go on a 10 day liveaboard scuba diving trip at one of the most remotest oceans of Indonesia called KOMODO. This trip played a pivotal role in finalising my decision, giving me ample time to reflect on how I wanted to feel like waking up each morning, and how it became clear to me that life existed outside of Google.
Here is a video of that trip:
By the time I stepped foot back onto land, after spending more time being surrounded by fishes than humans, the kueno bug had grown so large inside of me that it finally found a voice of it’s own.
On the first day back on the job, I told my manager that I was quitting, and that's how it all began.
All the best! - very interesting work you've got going on with your marine/aquatic photography :)
Thank you so so much for your support @kevinwong!!
Your support and encouragement is huge, it means a lot to me!
Also, I must say after briefly checking out your page that I am so glad to have found you. I feel that we may be different and may be on different walks of life, but similar breeds of being on the same path, both finding our own foothold in this new world arena. Already after reading your one post on PSND I feel a deep sense of resonance and I'm excited to follow your future journeys and learning/sharing more with you! 👊 😃

This is the best decision! Out of comfort zone! Recently I had a job at a museum, and then I became unemployed. I realized, I won much more than I lost. Yes, I've lost monthly income, but also lost boring gray weekdays. Well, I only have the money that is absolutely necessary, but if I ask the heavens, they always give me the chance. That's why I don't worry any more.
Thank you for the resteem! and thank you for those kind words of wisdom. I cannot agree with you enough. I think the heavens will always shed light when it is needed and asked for, and this can only happen when one is out of his/her comfort zone, or in a state of desperation. Our body, mind and spirits are capable of doing so much more, and I think it's time for us all to unleash that potential, so quitting all unnecessary things, including money, I believe is a start to it all :)
Such a beautiful and calming video
All the best in your new advebntures
Thanks tattoodjay! I guarantee there will be more stories to come, and I am already excited to share them :)

Thanks yakuhi, I love Eminem too :)
A short conversation with a receptionist at a dentist's office was what finally convinced me to accept a job in Japan and set foot out into the world. That was eight years, a wife, and two kids ago:) I wonder where I'd be had that conversation never have happened.
