I went back to Madrid to meet my guest family. When I was around 10 years old I was sent to Madrid every year to learn Spanish.The family taught me how to cook paella and we were so happy to be re-united.

They offered me to stay in their place, but I was not alone this time so i chose the Westin as my base for this trip.

The hotel has history, it was opened in 1912 to the public, and at that time it was the biggest hotel in Europe (Source)

After checking in, I walked over to the Congreso de Los Diputados, it is only a minute from the hotel. It is so beautiful and breathtaking.

Casa Mira offers the best Turron and sweets in Madrid!

I bought some sweets and ate them in one of the parks of Madrid. We were a bit jetlagged so we went back to the hotel and called it an early day. 

Anybody else loves the Westin Beds they are so comfy... I always fell asleep immediately...
