Ayame Sushi

One of my all-time favorite Sushi Restaurants is Ayame Sushi in Izu. It is a bit away from Numazu the Hometown of the best Sushi in Japan, but it is worth the drive. The restaurant will do Sushi and Japanese fish dishes like Miso Cod for you.

The Restaurant is tiny, it can only host 15 people in total, so make sure to have a reservation before you go. If you tell the chef which kind of fish you like, he will buy it for you if you give him at least 24h. I always tell him to get me the huge Japanese Rock Oysters. These are the best, forget fin d claire etc. this is the real deal. And of course get ready for a Toro Infusion, this is the best you can get!
