Mount Nemrut in Turkey
Today I am gonna introduce you to mysterious Nemrut Mount in Turkey. The mountain is located in the southeastern of Turkey.
Every year people from around the world visit mount Nemrut. Climbing the mountain and watching the see sun rise is truly spiritual experience there.
Visitors to Mount Nemrut will be greeted by an odd and mysterious side. A raid around the submit of the mountain are large stone statues of Greek and Persian gods. King Antiochus is believed to be buried there although his tomb remains undiscovered.
The statues have all had their heads removed. Possibly the deliberate work of iconoclast. Despite this and over 2000 years of exposure they retain much of their original majesty.
In addition to the statues are slabs which show king ancestors and astronomically information. The enigmatic and isolated nature of stones at Mount Nemrut make it a fascinating visit.
