Puerta del Sol has been the meeting point for Spanish people since the 17th century. We go there to take the pulse of the city and the latest news of the country. Take the time to drink a coffee in this splendid place.

It is in the middle of a grandiose architecture, witness of the history of Spain, that you will enjoy coffee and churros on one of the many terraces of Puerta del Sol. A sundial once stood on this square which was one of the points of entry to the city. It is here that we crossed the wall of Madrid in the fifteenth century. From this prestigious past was born the idea of an equestrian statue representing Charles III. You will also see the seat of the government and cross another bronze statue symbolizing Madrid. It is the famous Bear and its Arbutus that you will contemplate at the entrance to Calle Alcalá.
